But, often their hopes get belied when their loved ones desert them, system turns a nelson’s eye to their lot and the dawn of happiness refuses to set in. Yet, they don’t give up; their fortitude and perseverance keep them going against all odds all the time and every time!

AMU’s spirited students to make it big at Haramaya Sport Festival

Fleet-footed boys dribbling deftly, scampering with the ball, nudging it back quickly; dodging amazingly and cruising at the goal post at one corner, gritty girls honing defense techniques and some holding javelin, discus, shot-put and few running around the stadium will make you feel as if preparation for the big battle is on.

College of Natural Science reviews curricula of two new MSc programs

College of Natural Science has reviewed the curricula of two of its new master programs i.e. MSc in Wildlife Management and MSc in Medical Entomology & Disease Vector Control in a daylong meet held at its premises on 14th January, 2014.
Assistant Professor in Biology and Coordinator of PG Studies, Dr Serekebirhan Takele, presenting the curriculum of MSc in Wildlife Management, said, ‘‘Wildlife management is the art and science of managing wildlife populations and their habitats while being cognizant of the attitudes of local communities’’.

191 Arba Minch University students donate blood

Total 191, Arba Minch University students have donated blood in a camp organized at Nechsar, Abaya and Main Campuses, on different dates.

In a three-day camp jointly organized at Main Campus, by Arba Minch University Charity Club and Arba Minch Blood Bank, South Nations Nationalities People’s Region from 13th to 15th January, 2014, 97 students have donated blood.
