AMU commissions ‘water supply construction project’

‘Water Supply Construction Project,’ which was initiated by Arba Minch University, in September 2012, to end water scarcity at Abaya, Chamo and Nechsar campuses is completed and fully got operational on 16th March 2014, said Estate Development and Utility Property Administration Directorate Director, Mr Brook Gissila (Er.).
The project came into being with AMU signing a Memorandum of Understanding with South Water Works Construction Enterprise on June 2011, and then the total cost of the project was pegged at ETB 14.5 million.

AMU, EHRC sign project agreement on Human Rights

Arba Minch University’s Law School and Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) have recently signed a project agreement; an extension of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed a year before to promote human rights in this region.

College of Natural Sciences able to run new Graduate Progs: Dr Alemayehu

‘Capacity building training to have far-reaching effects

Such trainings are part of our community services, we have been reaching out to public through different ways and education is the best way. Earlier, we had trainings such as English speaking skills but this training is bit different as it has brought science teachers from surrounding schools together, said AMU President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes.

A National Symposium on Science for Sustainable Development

Arbaminch University is inviting for paper and poster contribution, hence related to all areas of the following themes (but not limited to) are invited for the national symposium, which is expected to be attended by senior University professors, Academia and scientists from nearly all parts of the country.
