A National Symposium on Science for Sustainable Development

Arbaminch University is inviting for paper and poster contribution, hence related to all areas of the following themes (but not limited to) are invited for the national symposium, which is expected to be attended by senior University professors, Academia and scientists from nearly all parts of the country.

AMU community condole Ato Alemayehu Atomsa’s demise

Arba Minch University community led by its President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes condoled the death of Ato Alemayehu Atomsa, former President of Oromia Regional state and the Chairperson of Oromo People’s Democratic Organization (OPDO), in a meeting held at Lecture Theatre, Main Campus on 10th March, 2014.

‘Good Governance Forum’ will bring in transformation: Dr Feleke

‘‘We have been trying to establish the culture of good governance; it was part of our annual plan that is formulated by the Ministry of Education and based on that AMU has developed its own. But, it didn’t yield desired results so we came up with the idea to form good governance forum,’’ informed the AMU President., Dr Feleke Woldeyes.

GERD visit: It was an encounter with ‘God’ in flesh and blood

We were awe-struck, dumbfounded and flabbergasted to the core as we found ourselves at the epicenter of national hope reverberating every Ethiopians’ aspiration. The ultimate pilgrimage called – the under-construction Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam!

Everyone from 139-member contingent of Arba Minch University had their heart pounding inside as they inched closer at its site, 1250 km away from Arba Minch. It was like seeing your God in flesh and blood.
