The office of the Vice President for Research and Community Services is accountable to the President of the University. It leads two core processes i.e. Research and Community services. Besides, the University-Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer responsibilities are also headed by the Vice President office. The office plays a key role in guiding and shaping up the Research, Community services, University-Industry Linkages and Technology Transfer initiatives being carried out by the University. The vision, mission and values of the Office are to make sure that the vision, mission and values of the university are achieving.

Three Directorates and seven Research Centres are accountable to VPRCS. The Directorates and Centers are responsible in implementing multi-disciplinary research and community-oriented welfare measures to fulfill University’s mandates. Two units namely Behavioral and Social Studies Research Unit and Demography and Health Development Research Unit being accountable to the Research Directorate are also responsible to contribute in attaining the overall mission of the University. Besides, each college/institute/campus has their own coordination offices for Research, Community services and Technology Transfer Directorates.

The University identified the followings to be center of excellences. It is expected that the identified center of excellences develop their own strategic plan which put them the desired level in all core mandates of the University. They must work-hard to deserve it rather than expecting the same to be provided.
