  • Stellarium - Planetarium
  • Octave - High-level interpreted language, primarily intended for numerical computations
  • Avogadro - Computational chemistry, molecular modelling, bioinformatics, materials science, and related areas
  • R language and environment - Statistical computing and graphics
  • Scilab - Numerical computation for engineering and scientific applications
  • Quantum GIS - Open Source Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • GRASS - Geographic Resources Analysis Support System
  • SAGA - System for Automated Geoscientific Analyses (GIS)
  • Gfortran - Fortran compiler front end and run-time libraries for GCC
