Arba Minch University Board approved the promotion of two senior academicians and researchers to Full Professorship Academic Rank on its meeting held on September 02/2023. The promotion of the two senior academicians and researchers to Full Professorship Academic Rank was endorsed by Arba Minch University (AMU) Senate on August 10/2023. Click here to see more photos.

The candidates for the promotion were Dr Teshome Yirgu from college of Social Sciences and Humanities from department of Geography and Dr Paulos Tadesse from College of Natural and Computational Sciences from department of Physics.

To get promoted to this academic rank, any senior staff and researcher must fulfill the necessary requirements of effective teaching, research publication, community service and active engagement in institutional affairs in accordance to AMU Senate Legislation Article56/4 and MoSHE directive of academic promotion, AR01/2020.

AMU Board checked the mandatory credentials endorsed by AMU Senate and found that effective teaching of eight semesters, required number of publications, participation in the university affairs and community service activities were successfully accomplished and approved the Full Professorship academic rank promotion.
