Bio:

Dr. Addisu Fekadu is an Associate Professor at Arba Minch University, specializing in food technology/Industrial Biotechnology. He has successfully secured over ten externally funded projects from national and international development partners and is actively working to scale up innovative technology across five regions of Ethiopia. His contributions to the field have earned him multiple prestigious awards, including the 2024 Innovation Award and the J.K. European Science Award (2020). Additionally, Dr. Addisu has secured five patents from the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office, demonstrating his commitment to advancing food technology. His work focuses on improving livelihoods in marginalized communities, and he welcomes collaboration to drive transformative change.
