Shetie Gatew Mitiku (PhD)

Dr. Shetie Gatew Mitiku is an Associate Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He earned his Doctorate in Bioscience Engineering from KULeuven, Belgium, in 2017, and a Master's in Environmental Science from Addis Ababa University in 2008. His research focuses on Plant- soil interaction, application of GIS and Remote sensing, environmental conservation and management, and sustainable development. Dr. Shetie has published extensively, including in journals such as Plant Ecology and Evolution, and the International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management. He also serves as the Director of the Biodiversity Research and Conservation Center at Arba Minch University.
