Tewodros Birhanu Aychiluhim (PhD)

I am Tewodros Birhanu, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry. I obtained my PhD in chemistry from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, where my research focused on the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds with medicinal significance, employing a multi-component approach. My expertise includes the synthesis of key organic molecules that hold industrial relevance, such as drugs, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides. With extensive experience in teaching various organic chemistry and industrial chemistry courses to postgraduate students, I am presently engaged in the isolation and characterization of natural products. Additionally, I am conducting research in the food and sugar related processing industries.
