Bio:

Dr. Yonas Ugo is an assistant professor at Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He obtained his master’s in Environmental Science from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, in 2008. Additionally, he obtained double master's degrees in Forest Ecosystems, Nature, and Society from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Conservation Land Management from Bangor University, Wales, in 2013. He received his PhD in Forest and Savannah Ecosystems Ecology (i.e., Biology) from KU Leuven, Belgium in 2022. Currently, he teaches and supervises postgraduate students in agroforestry and forestry.
