Mesay Samuel Gondere (PhD, Assistant Professor)

I am Dr. Mesay Samuel who is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Software Engineering, Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. I hold a Ph.D. in Computing and Information Technology, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, obtained in 2023 from Arba Minch University through the Ethio-German Home Grown Ph.D. Programme funded by DAAD. Prior to my doctoral studies, I have earned an MSc in Information and Knowledge Management from Jimma University (2013) and a BSc in Computer Science from Bahir Dar University (2008). My research interests and expertise are primarily focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Knowledge Management Systems. I have over 15 years of experience in various academic roles at the university, including serving as a department head, community service coordinator, faculty dean, and currently as the director of the library and information service directorate. I have authored and co-authored seven research publications in reputable journals and local conferences. I also serve as a reviewer in various academic conferences and journals both locally and internationally.
