Bio:

I received my B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia, in 2010, and my M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Power System Engineering) from the same university in 2014. In September 2010, I joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Arba Minch University as a Graduate Assistant II. In 2014, I was promoted to Lecturer. In addition to teaching, I have held several administrative roles, including:

  • Chair of Power System Engineering from July 8, 2019, to March 16, 2021
  • AMiT Research and Publication Coordinator from March 17, 2021, to August 9, 2023
  • AMiT Internship Externship Coordinator from August 9, 2023, to October 3, 2023
  • Renewable Energy Technology Research Center Delegate Director from January 28, 2024, to November 10, 2024

Currently, I serve as:

  •  AMiT Institute-Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer Director since October 3, 2023 Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Ethiopian International Journal of Engineering and Technology (EIJET) since September 1, 2022
  • Steering Committee Member of the Vocational Qualification and Employability of Youth and Women in the Solar Energy Sector in Arba Minch, Ethiopia (Green Energy TVET) since March 18, 2024
  • Since October 2020, I have been with the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at AMiT Arba Minch, where I am an Assistant Professor.
