Bio:

Prof. Teshome Yirgu born in 1961 from his father Yirgu Bayu and mother Yalale Gune, in Dita district, Gamo zone, south Ethiopia. He attended his primary school in kodo primary school in Dita district and junior high school in chencha town and attended his high school in Arba Mich comprehensive school. And joined Addis Ababa University, department of Geography and Environmental Study in 1980 and completed his university study in 1983. Then after he served as school teacher, high school principal, office expert, high court judge, academician, researcher, director, college dean in different government institution throughout Ethiopia, including Arba Minch University. Prof. Teshome has a cumulative working experience of 40 years and currently he is working at Arba Minch University as lecturer and researcher. He served as Editor in-chief of the Ethiopian Journal of Business and Social Sciences, EJBSS for three consecutive years.

    He studied his primary and secondary education in Kodo primary school and Arba Minch comprehensive high school respectively. He got PhD degree in Environmental Geography from Andhra University, India in May, 2010, and MA degree in Physical Geography, from AAU, College of Social Sciences & Humanities in July 2000. Furthermore, he was graduated in BA degree from AAU, College of Social Sciences & Humanities in July 1983. And graduated in Law Diploma from St. marry University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2004.
