Submission Guidelines

How to Submit?

All papers must be submitted electronically through the official Conference Management Tool (CMT) system.

Submission Steps:

1.      Create an Account: If you are a new user, click "Register" to create a CMT account and verify your email address.

2.      Log In: Access the system with your credentials.

3.      Find the Conference: In the "All Conferences" tab, search for "ICET-2026".

4.      Start a Submission: In the Author Console, click "+ Create New Submission".

5.      Enter Details: Copy and paste your paper's title and abstract into the designated text fields.

6.      Manage Authors:

·        Your information will be pre-filled as the primary/submitting author.

·        Add co-authors using their registered email addresses.

·        All Co-authors must have (or create) CMT accounts to be properly linked.

7.      Upload Manuscript: Drag and drop your manuscript file into the "Files" section.

8.      Finalize: Click "Submit". You will receive an automatic confirmation email. You may edit your submission until the submission deadline.

Paper Format and Layout

To ensure consistency, all manuscripts must adhere to the following requirements:

·         Page Limits:

o    Original research articles: 10–12 pages.

·         File Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or pdf format.

·         Ensure that the manuscript is anonymous for blind review (no author names or affiliations in the file attached).

·         Language: The paper must be written in clear, concise English.

·         Font & Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 spaced text, 1 inch margin all around

·         Page Size: Standard A4 (210mm x 297mm).

·         Citations: All references must follow the IEEE Style. In-text citations should appear in square brackets (e.g., [1]).

·         Visuals: All tables, figures, and images must be high quality, numbered, and placed within the text near their first mention.

 

Manuscript Structure

Papers should be well-structured and include the following sections in order:

1.      Title: Concise and informative (no more than 80 characters).

2.      Authors: Full names, affiliations (including country), and email addresses. Center-align this section and underline the presenting author.

3.      Abstract: A single paragraph of 200–250 words summarizing the aims, methodology, results, and conclusions. (No citations allowed in the abstract).

4.      Keywords: 5–7 keywords, starting with capital letters and separated by commas.

5.      Main Body:

o    Introduction: Background, motivation, and objectives.

o    Literature Review / Background: Situate your work within the existing research.

o    Methodology/ Approach: Statement of contribution and methods used.

o    Results & Discussion: Clear presentation and analysis of data.

o    Conclusion: Significance and implications of the study.

o    Note: Minor structure variations are acceptable depending on the discipline.

6.      Acknowledgements: (Optional) Recognize funding agencies or contributors.

7.      References: Must strictly follow the IEEE Citation Style.

 

Policies

·         Plagiarism: Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be automatically rejected. All submissions will be screened using standard plagiarism detection tools.

·         Use of AI Tools: The use of AI for language improvement or partial content generation (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgements section of any article submitted to the conference.

·         Originality: Submitted manuscripts must be original, must not have been submitted or published, and must not be under consideration for publication by any other journal or conference.

·         Peer Review: ICET employs a double-blind peer evaluation process. Papers are assessed based on originality, technical quality, relevance, and clarity.

·         Publication:

§  All accepted and presented papers will be published in the ICET Conference Proceedings.

§  Selected high-quality papers presented at the conference will undergo further review for publication in the Ethiopian International Journal of Engineering and Technology (EIJET).

·         Ethics: Research involving human subjects or specific environmental data must have appropriate ethical clearance.

 

CMT Acknowledgment

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
