Arba Minch Institute of Technology (AMiT) in Arba Minch University in collaboration with DAAD Information Center in Ethiopia held a presentation program on free scholarship opportunities in Germany.Click here to see more photos.

Dr. Zelalem Abera, a former PhD student at the University of Rostock in Germany and currently a lecturer and researcher at Arba Minch Water Technology Institute shared his experiences about the processes involved in accessing free education opportunities in Germany.

Ms. Aida Bahta, Program Officer at the DAAD Information Center, Ethiopia, providing information about free education opportunities, visa procedures, and other relevant issues said that the role of DAAD Information Center in Ethiopia is advising students and academicians on funding opportunities, and fostering partnerships between Ethiopian and German institutions of higher education. Ms. Aida also informed that DAAD, founded in 2011, has supported numerous Ethiopian students, lecturers, and researchers in their pursuit of higher education and research opportunities.

The session was aimed to provide information on free scholarship programs and educational opportunities in Germany and related issues for AMU academic staff. Dr. Muluneh Lemma, Scientific Director for AMiT, and other university academic staff were engaged in the discussion.
