Similar trainings for the senior and junior students are also been planned; training for senior students is expected to begin from 1st to 6th October, 2016, while fresh students are likely to be oriented from 11th to 16th October, 2016 at respective Campuses.

The strategic areas i.e. development, peace, democracy, quality of education, role of higher education institutions in nation’s overall development, Education and Technology Development Army and AMU’s last year’s achievement are being deliberated in an interactive manner.

The training begins simultaneously at two locations i.e. Main and Chamo Campuses of which one for the academic staff was led by AMU Board Chairman, MrTagesse Chafo, who is also Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic Government’s deputy minister heading Policy Research Centre and AMU President, Dr Damtew Darza.

The first day training for administrative staff at Main Campus was conducted by Deputy Minister for infrastructure, policy planning, implementation and evaluation in the office of Prime Minister, Mr Wondimu Gezahegn and Institute of Technology’s Scientific Director, Dr Negash Wagesho. The training at Chamo Campus has begun by a higher official from the federal government and AMU administrative Vice President, Mr Behailu Merdikios.

In the course of training University Vice Presidents,Dr Yehcale Kebede, Dr Guchie Gulie, Mr Behailu Merdikios, Mrs Rahel Elias and other directors and teachers will be discharging the duties of Principal Trainers and Trainers at many different groups.
