Introduction
The Pharmacy Education and Service Directorate at College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Arba Minch University was founded in 2017 to offer high-quality pharmacy education and service. This directorate provides undergraduate pharmacy programs and is committed to providing comprehensive services in teaching, research, community engagement, and clinical care. It consists of four academic units: Pharmacology and Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacy, Social Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Science.
The directorate also offers quality hospital pharmacy services to the community through the Arba Minch University Teaching and Comprehensive Specialized Hospital. This aligns with its goal of providing both excellent education and healthcare services.
Vision
By 2032, the directorate aims to be one of the top five leading pharmacy education and service departments in Ethiopia and a renowned institution in East Africa for its teaching, research, community engagement, and clinical services.
Mission
In line with the university's and college's mission, the directorate aims to produce qualified graduates, conduct impactful research, transfer relevant technologies, and deliver high-quality hospital pharmacy services through tailored curricula, community involvement, and innovation.
