Background
The College of Medicine and Health Sciences Education Quality Director office (EQD-CMHS) is dedicated to upholding exceptional standards within the college. In alignment with the strategic plan of the University's Quality Assurance Directorate, EQD-CMHS diligently oversees and supports education, training, administrative systems, curriculum development, exam administration, accreditation, digitalization and diverse services provided by the college. The office is working in tandem with both governmental and non-governmental organizations to uphold its duties.

The office is committed to advancing the institution's development, empowering faculties and entities to meet accreditation and program quality standards, and ensuring the sustained and improved quality of education in all programs.

Activities
The Education Quality Director Office of the CMHS-AMU engages in a variety of tasks, including:
• Monitoring the implementation of educational curricula across different programs within the college, and guiding efforts towards enhancement.
• Identifying areas where the academic staff requires additional training and skill development, and collaborating with various partner organizations to arrange relevant capacity building training.
• Through consistent monitoring and support, to ensuring that the process of curriculum development and review for the various UG and PG programs in the college adheres to the University's Curriculum Development and Review Guidelines.
• Supervising and supporting the punctual commencement of classes for all educational programs, mitigating any time wastage, and ensuring appropriate compensation for lost academic periods.
• Conducting quality audits to ascertain that skill laboratories, simulation rooms, classrooms, and other facilities meet established quality standards.
• Monitoring and assisting in the successful completion of internal quality audits for all educational programs, overseeing the implementation of findings from internal audits for improvement, and initiating steps towards voluntary accreditation.
• Guaranteeing the successful execution of computer-based Tests (CBT) across programs, in cooperation with the college's IT center and relevant stakeholders.
• Verifying that exams are reviewed by the appropriate student assessment and exam review committees for each respective program.
• Facilitating the establishment of test banks and PBL (Problem-Based Learning) case banks within departments, while also offering support and supervision for the execution of PBL and other components of the competency based education methodologies.
• Ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and inclusivity of the continuous assessment system as outlined in the University’s guidelines.
• Monitoring implementation of all components of the program curricula using the curriculum monitoring dashboard
