Agriculture College to move to new location – Kulfo Campus: Dr Nejib

Arba Minch University’s College of Agriculture presently situated at Nech Sar Campus will soon be moving to its new sprawling location at Boarding School of Regional Bureau off Arba Minch Airport road, its Dean Dr Nejib Mohammad informed.

Instructional skill training holds the key: Dr Guchie

The fourth module, which deals with ethical, professional obligation and commitment that you all will be oriented is paramount; as it sums up other three modules. The training will apparently lay the foundation that will enhance your teaching skill and boost confidence,’’ stressed the Vice President for Research and Community Service, Dr Guchie Gulie Sulla.

Dr Guchie said this while inaugurating five-day instructional skill training that begun at Lecture Theatre, Main Campus on September 23. The training is organized by university’s Institutional Quality Enhancement Centre (IQE) and it will conclude on 28th September.

AMU sets up free legal aid cells; begins awareness drive via Radio FM

Arba Minch University by passionately indulging in altruistic endeavor has reiterated that it’s not merely an institution of physical nature; but has a heart that palpitates for poor and needy!

In a move to heighten its many community service initiatives, AMU has recently set up two special Legal Aid Cells in Arba Minch; one at Gamo Gofa Higher Court, Secha and another one at Arba Minch City First Instance Court, Sikela.

Arba Minch University celebrates ‘National Flag Day’

‘‘We have strong umbilical ties with our national flag, which is the symbol of our triumph over the fascist Italian forces in the battle of Adowa. It signifies all African Unity, as many of the African nations have officially accepted Ethiopian flag (with little modifications) as the symbol of their national unity, integrity, liberty and sovereignty, said the Vice-President for Administration and Development, Dr Kassa Tadele. SSSC geared up for new academic year, says Dr Teshome

AMU’s Students Service Support Centre (SSSC) is bracing up for slew of activities as the new Academic Calendar year inches closer, said the Director, Dr Teshome Yirgu Bayu.

SSSC based at Main Campus, is an umbrella body for various student’s clubs i.e. Student Union, Anti-sexual Harassment Club, Physically-Challenged Students Club, Peace Initiative Club, Environment Club and HIV/AIDS Club.
