The second national symposium on Indigenous knowledge, cultural Diversity and Heritage management in Ethiopia has started today in collaboration with FDRE Ministry of Culture and Tourism and presenters and delegates are participating from all over Ethiopia in this two day event.

Arba Minch University will be conducting workshop on ‘Sustainable Water Resource Development’ at Lecture Theatre from 27th to 28th June, 2013. It will be 13th workshop in a row since its inception from 1996, said the Director of WRRC, Dr Mekonen Ayana.

Many delegates from all around Ethiopia would be expected to take part in this symposium of two days.

Holistic agricultural approach, the way out: Dr Feleke
‘‘Agriculture is one of the greatest accomplishments, the world has ever seen. But, due to spilling population and expansion weakness in the recent century our available resources have become scarce that led to calamity such as disaster, our country faced in 1974,’’ said the AMU President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes.
Dr Feleke was speaking at the daylong 1st Annual Symposium on 'Integrated Agricultural Development and Food Security’ at Lecture Theatre, Main Campus, on May 27, 2013. Ministry of Science and Technology & Arba Minch University have jointly organized the meeting.
