Bogale Gebremariam (PhD, Ing.), AMU Academic Affairs Vice President, said, AMU is one of the 8 research universities in Ethiopia and Canada, on the other hand, is one of the developed countries known worldwide by its hydropower. AMU has four decades of solid experience in water engineering, technology, and opportunities to collaborate with Canadian universities to share experiences and learn from each other in areas like curriculum design, mining, staff exchange, capacity building, research and development, and others, he underscored. Sharing his point on the aim of the meeting, he noted that MoUs will be signed after reaching agreement, he said.
Mr. Marc André Savage from Canadian Embassy - Ethiopia said that we already have a good relationship with AMU and we are seeking international partners that will work with Canadian universities. He informed that the universities in Canada and AMU will establish MoU agreements on research and development, mining, staff exchange and other similar collaboration areas after making their perfect matches for collaboration, he noted.
