Adanech Zemede (PhD), the Academic, Internationalization and Collaboration Coordinator at AMU, during handing over the donation, said, we have much to learn from China's rich culture and rapid development. These books will enable our community to gain valuable insights particularly in Chinese culture, history and heritage, rules of law and governance and academic folk tales along with others. Dr. Adanech hopped for future collaborations with the Chinese Embassy and other institutions from China to further enhance international engagement and mutual understanding.

The Director of Library Services, Messay Samuel (PhD), echoing the same sentiment, noted that the diverse range of subjects covered in the donation including Chinese culture, history and heritage, folk tales for KG education and other areas will offer valuable lessons for shaping the future. He also assured that the books will be distributed across all campuses to be accessible to the entire university community and urged the faculty, students, and staff to utilize the best of the resources.

The collection includes notable books such as “Journey to the West I-IV”, "The Financial Reform in China", "Chinese Travel Guide", "Rules of Law in China", “Chinese Economy 2040” and "Contemporary Chinese Arts Masterpieces" among others.
