Collaborative projects

  1. Arba Minch Demographic and Health Development Program: With financial aid from CDC along with technical support from Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) the program was launched in 2009. Its prime objective is to collect longitudinal data on birth, death, and migration and AIDS mortality survey in nine rural kebeles in Arba Minch Zuria Woreda. It’s a well organized centre with data base for PG or PhD projects.
  2. Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) Project: This project got successfully implemented in 32 kebeles of Arba Minch Zuria Woreda in 2012/13 in collaboration with Addis Institute of Public Health, a private higher education institution in Addis Ababa.
  3. Ethiopian Meningitis Carriage Clearance study: This six-month study was carried out conducted in association with Armaur Hanson’s Research Institute (AHRI) of Ethiopia and Norwegian Institute of Public Health.
