Patriotic fervor, love for nation’s sovereignty, cultural diversity, unity, enthusiasm and inimitable bonhomie marked the 9th celebration of Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day held at new Auditorium at Main Campus on December 8, 2014.

This BSc program in ‘Production & Metal Engineering,’ is unique as it’s in the interest of Ethiopia. We are indebted to the Ministry of Education for requesting Arba Minch University to introduce programs in metal production engineering, sugar production and textile; but we chose this one keeping in view the human resource available to us, said Institute of Technology’s Scientific Director, Dr Negash Wagesho.

Ethiopia, the cradle of ancient civilizations is immensely endowed with historical, social, ecological, natural and religious resources and cultural diversities. The nation consists of over 80 nations and nationalities with respective cultural, linguistic, religious and other peculiarities.

Arba Minch University’s Research and Community Vice President’s office has signed an agreement with the prestigious Italian engineering university, Politecnico di Torino in Turin to carry out cooperative activities in research & education and in the fields of engineering on November 13, 2014.
