The fourth module, which deals with ethical, professional obligation and commitment that you all will be oriented is paramount; as it sums up other three modules. The training will apparently lay the foundation that will enhance your teaching skill and boost confidence,’’ stressed the Vice President for Research and Community Service, Dr Guchie Gulie Sulla.

Dr Guchie said this while inaugurating five-day instructional skill training that begun at Lecture Theatre, Main Campus on September 23. The training is organized by university’s Institutional Quality Enhancement Centre (IQE) and it will conclude on 28th September.

In a move to heighten its many community service initiatives, AMU has recently set up two special Legal Aid Cells in Arba Minch; one at Gamo Gofa Higher Court, Secha and another one at Arba Minch City First Instance Court, Sikela.

Information Communication Technology (ICT) Directorate of Arba Minch University’s three-day symposium which was slated to be held from 19th to 21st September has been postponed due to some uncertain reason.

The symposium will now be held at Main Campus from 10th to 12th October. Other details of the event stand unchanged as mentioned in the previous report, ICT Director Mr Yoseph Debele stated.
