A daylong symposium on ‘Recent Trends in Civil Engineering’ by Department of Civil Engineering at Main Campus on 21st December, 2016, has created a synergy that has had most of its students putting best foot forward with some good presentations speak volumes about their in-depth understanding of the subject and smoldering passion that will help them to assimilate professional acumen. Regional Moringa Task Force to be revived to harness moringa

Arba Minch University has recently hosted National Moringa Task Force consultation meeting to discuss revival of Regional MTF at Senate Hall. Its 11 members from education, research and governmental bodies having brainstormed the issue, arrived at a consensus to develop a well-planned strategy to maximize the full potential of this Mother’s tree. AMU participates in 2nd China-Africa meeting on Schistosomiasis

AMU has represented Ethiopia in recently held 2nd China-Africa meeting on Schistosomiasis elimination and training in Malacology in Yaounde, Cameroon. The focus on this year’s meeting was on Malacology training course and use of molluscicides for snail control. Click here to see the pictures.

Dr Genet Zewdie came; saw and conquered all with disarming charm! A ‘Joan of Arc,’ and a true trailblazer, shattered barriers and devastated impenatrable walls in her way to victory. The first female minister then, fired the first salvo at Glass Ceiling that paved the way for women’s emancipation in Ethiopia!
