Everybody is responsible to assure quality education: Dr Feleke

‘‘When it comes to quality education, we have long way to go. In fact, we need a comprehensive approach to address the problems of access to primary and higher education. Quality is a multi-dimensional concept and everybody is responsible to make it possible in the country,’’ said, Arba Minch University President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes.

AMU may start competence centre on renewable energy: Dr Guchie

‘‘I hope, we can start working on establishing a competence centre on renewable energy in Arba Minch University. And with Ethiopian government supporting this kind of endeavors, we can definitely start one where we can think of harnessing the potential of hydro, solar and wind power with the required system in place,’’ said Vice-President for Research and Community Service, Dr Guchie Gulie.

AEEP project, a step in national interest: Dr Feleke

This workshop is all about entrepreneurial skill; and basically, this concept is being encouraged by Federal Ministry. And the project - Applied Entrepreneurship Education Program (AEEP) truly indicates that AMU is doing things in the national interest, Arba Minch University President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes, said.

AMU’s physically-challenged students participate in ‘World Disability Day’

Arba Minch University’s 30 physically-challenged students have participated in the ‘World Disability Day’ program which was jointly observed by the Regional Labor Affairs office of South Nationals, Nationalities Peoples’ Region and Regional Organization for Handicapped People at Omo Hall, Secha on December 3, 2013.
