While COVID-19 continues to spread the trail of catastrophe all across that has literally halted the wheels of economic activities leaving many without monetary and other resources at this critical time, in such situation, AMU’s Community Service Directorate is assuaging the sufferings of poor, homeless and elders in Gamo Zone by distributing some public protection gears, cereals, other eatables, etc. in its own way.

ውድ የአርባ ምንጭ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ተማሪዎች በሙሉ፣ ለመላዉ ዓለምም ሆነ ለሀገራችን ሰው ልጅ ሁሉ በሕይወት ለመኖር እጅግ ከፍተኛ ስጋት ያመጣዉ የኮቭድ-19 መከሰት ምክንያት ለሕዝብና ለሀገር ደህንነት ታስቦ በትኩረት እየተሠራ ካለዉ አንጻር በሀገራችን የሁሉም ትምህርት ደረጃ ተማሪዎች ወላጅ ወይም ቤተሰብ ዘንድ እንዲቆዩ በተደረገዉ ሂደት ከመጋቢት 19 እስከ 21/2012 ባሉት ቀናት ከዩኒቨርሲቲዉ ግቢ ወጥታችሁ ወደየቤተሰቦቻችሁ ዘንድ ከሄዳችሁበት ቀን ጀምሮ እንደምን አላችሁ? ውድ ተማሪዎች የአርባ ምንጭ ዩኒቨርሲቲ 6ቱም ግቢዎች የሚሞቁትና የሚያምሩት እናንተ ስትኖሩበትና በግቢያችሁ ወዲያ ወዲህ (ከዶርም ወደ ክፍል፣ ከክፍል፣ ወደ ላይብራሪና ማጥኛ ቦታዎች፣ ወደ ሻይ/ቡና ወይም መዝናኛ ቦታዎች፣ ወደ አቢያተክርስቲያናትና መስጂዶች ከዚያም ወደ ግቢ፣ ወደ ከተማና ከዚያም ወደ ግቢያችሁ) ሽርጉድ እያላችሁ ስትመላለሱ ብቻ ነዉ፡፡ በክረምት ዕረፍት ለሁለት ወራት ወደ ቤተሰብ ስትሄዱ የክረምት ተማሪዎች ይተኩ ነበር፡፡ አሁን ግን ማንም ተማሪ የለም፡፡ የትምህርት ቤት/ተቋም ትልቁ የውበት ምንጭና ሕይወት ተማሪ ነዉ፡፡

In order to complement the ongoing global efforts to study and understand the catastrophic implications of COVID-19, Arba Minch University acting on the directive of Ministry of Science and Higher Education has constituted a Research Council that will soon launch specific research projects to study broader aspects that were left totally upended in the wake of Corona virus outbreak in recent times.

አርባ ምንጭ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የኮሮና በሽታን ስጋት ተከትሎ በአርባ ምንጭ ከተማ ለተቋቋመው ለይቶ ማቆያ ማዕከል የአልጋ፣ የፍራሽና የአንሶላ ቁሳቁሶች ድጋፍ አድርጓል፡፡ ዩኒቨርሲቲው በተለምዶ ኩልፎ ካምፓስ ተብሎ በሚታወቀው የግብርና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ የሚገኙ የተማሪ ማደሪያዎችንም ለለይቶ ማቆያ ለማዋል የቅድመ-ዝግጅት ሥራዎችን እያከናወነ መሆኑ ተገልጿል፡፡
በርክክብ ሥነ-ሥርዓቱ ላይ የተገኙት የዩኒቨርሲቲው አካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዝደንት ዶ/ር የቻለ ከበደ እንዳሉት የኮሮና በሽታን ለመከላከልና አስከፊ ጉዳት እንዳያደርስ በሚደረገው ጥረት ዩኒቨርሲቲው የበኩሉን ሚና እንደሚወጣና እየተወጣም መሆኑን ገልፀው ለለይቶ ማቆያው የተደረገው ድጋፍም የዚሁ ማሳያ ነው ብለዋል፡፡ ፎቶዎቹን ለማየት ይህንን ይጫኑ

AMU in association with Gamo Zone administration has jointly constituted Corona Task Force to prevent possible transmission of virus in the community. CTF has 40-member main committee with nine sub-committees to launch awareness campaign at zonal level, ensure sample testing; establish quarantine facilities to prevent further spread of virus and treatment aspect as well.
Gamo Zone Administrator, Mr Berhanu Zewde, heading CTF, said, all the committees will look into aspect such as communication, water sanitation, security, transport, etc. Zonal authority will contribute ETB 3 million and mobilize more resources in kind and cash from people across society, governmental and non-governmental organizations to support this social endeavor to tackle this catastrophe.Click here to see the pictures
