Rising enrolment, more girl students, low attrition bring cheer to AMU

Arba Minch University since its inception has shown upward trends in all spheres of activities. If its ever rising student’s enrolment, higher numbers of engineering passed-outs and substantial increase in girl students opting higher education are any indications then AMU rightly deserve the pride of place in Ethiopia. Sharp declining attrition rate further makes its claim more credible.

IQE holds training for new teachers; Graduation on Oct 24

Institutional Quality Enhancement (IQE) Directorate has conducted five-day Higher Diploma Program (HDP) training for the newly appointed Arba Minch University teachers from 19th to 23rd Oct 2015, at Main Campus.

Arba Minch University introduces ‘Cascading Structure’

To make organization effectively performance-driven, Arba Minch University, has introduced, a new work dynamics called - ‘Cascading Structure.’ University President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes, signing agreements in that regard with his deputies at new Senate Hall on 15th October 2015, called it a new beginning. AMU appoints Dr Damtew Darza as Academic Affairs Vice President

Dr Damtew Darza Sozo, the Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology, has been elevated to the position of Academic Affairs Vice President on 19th October 2015. The present incumbent served as a Special Assistant prior to his elevation to the position.

Sawla Campus to start academic activities soon: Dr Damtew

Arba Minch University’s new Sawla Campus is likely to begin academic activities by December 2015-16 academic year end with AMU Senate giving nod for the same in its recent meeting, informed Advisor for Academic Affairs Vice President, Dr Damtew Darza.
