A team of inter disciplinary researchers from Arba Minch University have been conducting a research project in titled: “Adaptation Mechanisms for Climate Change Impacts on Hydrological Extremes and Crop Production” a case study from Abaya Chamo sub basin.

 

The Goal of This Closing Workshop is:

To disseminate the research outputs to our stakeholders: Environmental Protection Authorities, Offices of Agriculture, Offices of Water & Energy and other related organizations in the basin and the nation,

To inform scientists, practitioners, farmers and officials of the impacts of climate change, in Abaya Chamo Basin & Ethiopia at large,

To address vulnerability assessment and adaptation options in the basin,

To develop integration and cooperation with all participating sectors and stakeholders,

To foster future joint interdisciplinary research projects among our partners, as well as develop a similar up-scaled research project.

The research project team is delighted to invite all interested parties to take part on the workshop.
