A team of inter disciplinary researchers from Arba Minch University have been conducting a research project in titled: “Adaptation Mechanisms for Climate Change Impacts on Hydrological Extremes and Crop Production” a case study from Abaya Chamo sub basin.
The Goal of This Closing Workshop is:
• To disseminate the research outputs to our stakeholders: Environmental Protection Authorities, Offices of Agriculture, Offices of Water & Energy and other related organizations in the basin and the nation,
• To inform scientists, practitioners, farmers and officials of the impacts of climate change, in Abaya Chamo Basin & Ethiopia at large,
• To address vulnerability assessment and adaptation options in the basin,
• To develop integration and cooperation with all participating sectors and stakeholders,
• To foster future joint interdisciplinary research projects among our partners, as well as develop a similar up-scaled research project.
The research project team is delighted to invite all interested parties to take part on the workshop.
