‘‘This graduation is special for the first batch of 35 Graduates of Medical Science from College of Medicine and Health Sciences because today AMU is also laying the foundation stone for 300-bedded Referral-cum-Teaching hospital in Arba Minch, said University President, Dr Feleke Woldeyes. Ethiopian contemporary artist Sinafikish Zeleke’s 20 acrylic paintings on display at PG Building Library Hall, Main Campus are optimistic canvas showcasing Ethiopian ethos, cultural spender, social mores and ongoing transition from under-development to self-sufficiency. የአለም የሚቲዎሮሎጂ ድርጅት / wmo/ ከተቋቋመበት እ.ኤ.አ ከ19 50 ዎቹ ጀምሮ አለም አቀፍ የሚቲዮሮሎጂ ቀን በየዓመቱ መጋቢት 14 / March 23 /የሚከበር ሲሆን በዚህ ዓመት “Climate knowledge for climate action” በሚል መሪ ቃል በአ/ም/ዩ በተፈጥሮ ሣይንስ ኮሌጅ በፓናል ውይይትና በችግኝ ተከላ ተከብሯል ፡፡

የሚቲዎሮሎጂ ቀን ተማሪዎችና መምህራን የወቅቱን የአየር ንብረት ለውጥ እንዲሁም የባህር ነውጦችን መንስኤ በማጥናት በተለይ አርሶ አደሩ በቂ ድጋፍና ግንዛቤ የሚያገኝበትን መንገድ ለማመቻቸት ግኝታቸውን የሚያስተላልፉበት አጋጣሚ መሆን እንዳለበት የዩኒቨርሲቲው ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር አጌና አንጁሎ ተናግረዋል ፡፡

የበዓሉ ዋነኛ ዓላማ በሰው ልጆች የእለት ከእለት እንቅስቃሴ የሚፈጠረውን የአየር ንብረት ለውጥ ለመከላከልና ሊከሰቱ የሚችሉ አደጋዎችን ለመቀነስ የሚያስችሉ ግንዛቤዎችን ለማሳደግ ከሳይንሱ ጋር የተያያዙ መረጃዎችንና እውነታዎችን ማስጨበጥ እንደሆነም የሚቲዎሮሎጂና ሃይድሮሎጂ ትምህርት ክፍል ኃላፊ መ/ር ሙሉጌታ ገናኑ ገልፀዋል ፡በተጨማሪም መምህሩ በሚቲዎሮሎጂ ትምህርት ክፍል እየተሰሩ ያሉ ስራዎችን ለዩኒቨርሲቲው ማህበረሰብ በዝርዝር አቅርበዋል ፡፡

የሚትዎሮሎጂ ትምህርት ከሁሉም የሳይንስ ትምህርቶች ጋር በቀጥታ ግንኙነት ያለው ዓለም አቀፋዊ ሳይንስ እንደመሆኑ መጠን በጤና ፣በአካባቢ ጥበቃ ፣በንፁህ የመጠጥ ውሃ አቅርቦትና ሌሎች ተያያዥ ጉዳዮች ላይ ትኩረት አድርጎ የሚሰራ የትምህርት ክፍል ነው፡፡ የኮሌጁ ዲን ዶ/ር አለማየሁ ኃ/ሚካኤል ፕሮግራሙን አስመልክተው በሰጡት አስተያየት በዕለቱ የተነሱት ጉዳዮች የሰዎችን ግንዛቤ ከማስፋት አንፃር ከፍተኛ አስተዋፅኦ ያላቸውና አስተማሪ መሆናቸውን በመግለፅ የአየር ንብረት ለውጥን ለመከላከል ከሚደረጉ ጥናትና ምርምር ስራዎች ጎን ለጎን ኮሌጁ በእለቱ የተተከሉ ችግኞችን የመንከባከብ ኃላፊነት እንዳለበትም ተናግረዋል፡፡

Ethiopian female artist Senafikesh’s art expo begins on 17th

March Contemporary Ethiopian female artist Senafikesh Zeleke, who is also the president of Ethiopian Female Painting Artists Association, will display her work of arts in a four-day exhibition to be held at PG Building, Library, Main Campus.

AMU to lay foundation stone for Hospital; host graduation ceremony

AMU will be hosting two important programs on March 14, 2015. In the morning foundation stone for university’s upcoming teaching-cum-referral hospital will be laid followed by the Graduation ceremony for 97 graduates at New Auditorium, Main Campus.
