AMU signs construction pacts for Sawla Campus, 3 more projects

Arba Minch University has signed four construction project agreements worth ETB 70.49 Million with Arba Minch-based Anjulo Arshe Building Construction Company at President’s office, New Management Builidng on 20th May, 2015. All projects are slated to be completed in a year.

Arba Minch University celebrated 24th anniversary of ‘The National Day,’ - May 28 (Ginbot 20), the downfall of oppressive Derg regime with great enthusiasm at New Auditorium on 2nd June 2015. በአርባ ምንጭ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በተፈጥሮ ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ በስፖርት ሳይንስ ትምህርት ክፍል ‹‹የስፖርት ህክምናና ኦርቶፔዲክ ሰርጀሪ›› የሚባል ፕሮግራም በማስትሬት ድግሪ ደረጃ ተቀርፆ ግንቦት 25/2007 ዓ/ም የዩኒቨርሲቲው አስተዳደር ምክትል ፕሬዝደንት፣ የዘርፉ ምሁራንና ሌሎችም በተገኙበት የስርዓተ -ትምህርት ግምገማ ተደርጓል ፡፡

በሀገራችን የአትሌቲክስ ስፖርት በላቀ ደረጃ እንዲያድግ በስፖርት ህክምናና በኦርቶፔዲክ ሰርጀሪ የሰለጠነ ባለሙያ ማፍራት የጎላ ሚና ይጫወታል ፡፡ይህንን በመረዳት የተፈጥሮ ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ በተለይም የስፖርት ሳይንስ ትምህርት ክፍል በመስኩ ማስትሬት ድግሪ ስርዓተ-ትምህርት ቀርፆ ባለሙያዎችን ለማፍራት በዝግጅት ላይ እንደሚገኝ የኮሌጁ ዲን ዶ/ር አለማየሁ ኃ/ሚካኤል ገልፀዋል ፡፡

በዩኒቨርሲቲው የስፖርት ሣይንስ መምህር ዶ/ር ሞላ ዶዮ የትምህርት ክፍሉን መከፈትና ዓላማውን አስመልክተው በሰጡት ገለፃ መንግስት በቀየሰው ፖሊሲ መሠረት የስፖርተኛውን የመስራት አቅም ለማጎልበት፣ የአመጋገብ ስርአትን ለማስተካከል እንዲሁም የስፖርት እንቅስቃሴ በሚደረግበት ወቅት ሊከሰቱ የሚችሉ ችግሮችን በማቃለል በሀገር አቀፍና በአለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ተወዳዳሪና ተፎካካሪ የሆኑ ስፖርተኞችን ለማፍራት የሚያስችል ነው ብለዋል ፡፡

ኦርቶፔዲክ ሰርጀሪን በዩኒቨርሲቲው ደረጃ ባለው የሰው ኃይልና ለትምህርቱ ከሚያስፈልጉ ግብዓቶች አንፃር ለጊዜው ማስቀጠል ባይቻልም ከህክምናና ጤና ሣይንስ ኮሌጅ ጋር በጋራ በመሆን የስፖርት ህክምናውን ብቻ በ2008 ዓ/ም ለመጀመር መስማማታቸውን ዶ/ር ሞላ ገልፀዋል ፡፡ በስርዓተ ትምህርቱ ቀረፃ ከፍተኛ ድርሻ የነበራቸው ዶ/ር ሞላ አያይዘውም የተፈጥሮ ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ ለስፖርት ሳይንስ ትምህርት ክፍሉ አስፈላጊ የሆኑ ግብዓቶችን በማደራጀት ላደረገው ትብብር ምስጋና አቅርበዋል፡፡

Groundwater modeling will greatly benefit Ethiopia: Dr Feleke

‘‘AMU’s main component is technology, where Institute of Technology is involved in producing manpower in water resource engineering. As we are about to establish centre for water works, this training would give us the roadmap. And groundwater modeling is important, it will enable us to contribute in the development of the nation,’’ Dr Feleke Woldeyes said while opening two-week training on Groundwater Modeling.
