Along with the grand celebration of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) Completion, Arba Minch University (AMU), Institute of Foreign Affairs and Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute collaboratively co-organize the workshop entitled: “The Grand Renaissance Dam: A Decade of Struggle, Lessons, and a New Horizon” at AMU.

Arba Minch University–Institutional University Cooperation (AMU-IUC) Sub-Project IV hosted a workshop entitled “Gully Rehabilitation for Integrated Sustainable Land Management” and focused on gully rehabilitation; it was aimed to translate academic research into actionable, community-driven solutions at the Shafe catchment in the Lake Abaya sub-basin at demonstration site in the Layo Terga Kebele and held on August 29, 2025.
