In a momentous step towards strengthening food systems, Arba Minch University (AMU) convened a dynamic progress update discussion meeting at Main Campus, Senate Hall, to share updates on "The Rural - Urban Nexus: Establishing Nutrients Loop to Improve City Region Food Systems Resilience/RUNRES/ Project" Phase II; the initiative builds upon the foundation laid during its Phase I, which commenced on May, 2019. Arba Minch University (AMU) holds a graduation ceremony and rolled out 74 medical doctors and 129 health sciences in total 203 graduates from college of Medicine and Health Sciences; 11 PhDs and 252 Master students from seven programs and 765 UG students across all campuses graduated in Main Campus on February 22, 2025. Arba Minch University (AMU) hosted the 11th National Symposium on ‘Science for Sustainable Development’ covering research findings stemmed from areas of natural, agricultural, and medicine and health sciences on 21st February, 2025; 18 papers were presented by researchers from 13 universities across the nation from which AMU had two.
