Project title: Data collection for improving enset cultivation using mobile application The project aims to strengthen the use of mobile application among enset growing farmers, to improve enset cultivation and post-harvest handling practices. To this end, information related to enset cultivation and postharvest handling practices will be loaded on the enset mobile app (already developed) and used for empowering farmers in digitizing enset cultivation practices and scaling up enset to non-enset growing regions in Ethiopia. Therefore, this initiative seeks committed PhD candidate who will gather information from the selected farmers and validates different modules of enset mobile application. By bridging the gap between traditional farming methods and modern science, digital technology could contribute to transforming enset cultivation and processing practices. This will help to equip farmers with the necessary knowledge and skill which would improve enset productivity, ultimately enhancing food security and economic resilience in these communities.
