- የትምህርት ክፍል ምርጫ፡ የ1ኛ ዓመት ትምህርታቸውን ላጠናቀቁ ተማሪዎች ሰኞና ማክሰኞ፣ መስከረም 11 እና 12 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም.
- የምዝገባ ቀን፡ ማክሰኞና ረቡዕ፣ መስከረም 12 እና 13 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም.
- የትምህርት መጀመሪያ ቀን፡ ሐሙስ፣ መስከረም 14 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም.

Arba Minch University (AMU) commemorated the enduring professional legacy of Dr. Simon Shibru through a series of programs held at its Abaya Campus on September 5, 2026, highlighting his remarkable contributions to academia, research, university leadership, biodiversity conservation, and natural resource management. As a lasting tribute to his scholarly and professional contributions, the University also named its Biodiversity Research and Conservation Center after Dr. Simon Shibru.
