Arba Minch University (AMU) hosted 11^th National Symposium on “Research for Development” at Main Campus on 4^th April, 2025. Researchers across universities of Ethiopia from areas of social sciences and humanities, business and economics, and pedagogical and behavioral sciences and law gathered; 19 papers presented and discussed. Background

This PhD supervision training is initiated by the Ethiopian SuperStars project. The Ethiopian Superstars is an international training program that involves 7 Ethiopian universities (Addis Ababa University, Ambo University, Arba Minch University, Bahir Dar University, Hawassa University, Jimma University and Mekelle University). The project is coordinated by Jimma University and Ghent University, is financially supported by VLIR-UOS (www.vliruos.be) and runs from September 2023 to August 2026. Click here to see more photos.

The Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology (OFAB) South West Node held its 8^th stakeholders meeting on the theme “OFAB: Bridging Scientists and Policymakers for Sustainable Development and Enhanced Food Security” at Arba Minch University (AMU), Abaya Campus on April 1, 2025.  This pivotal event gathered a diverse array of participants including representatives from eight universities, six agricultural research centers, and various private farming entities, all united in their commitment to foster collaboration and dialogue between the scientific community and policymakers to tackle pressing agricultural challenges.
